THE PEDAGOGICAL POTENTIAL OF RENAISSANCE WORKS OF ART IN THE STUDY OF PLASTIC ANATOMY BY STUDENTS OF AN ARTISTIC PROFILE

Abstract

The article is devoted to the study of the role of works of art of the Renaissance in the study of plastic anatomy by art students in order to improve the quality of education of specialists in this field. The main program requirements for the study of plastic anatomy in higher education institutions and practical principles and methodological tools for achieving this goal are compared. As it was found, the program requirements for the training of art students in the discipline «Plastic Anatomy» are aimed at mastering theoretical knowledge of the anatomical structure of the human body, understanding the rules of perspective construction of complex forms, construction, shape of the skeletal and muscular structure of the human body. The study of the discipline is based on the acquired knowledge of drawing, composition, perspective and provides an interconnection with other disciplines of the professional block, provided for by the curriculum. The works of art of the Renaissance era are considered as an effective didactic tool in the process of mastering plastic anatomy by students of higher education institutions of the artistic profile. Their anatomical accuracy and artistic and plastic features are analyzed as examples of the synthesis of scientific knowledge and artistic interpretation of the human body. The pedagogical potential of the works of art of the Renaissance in the formation of professional competencies of future artists of fine arts is determined. The feasibility of integrating traditional and innovative methods of teaching students-artists plastic anatomy by means of Renaissance art is emphasized. It is proved that the use of works of the Renaissance era in the mastering of plastic anatomy by students-artists in combination with scientific knowledge and interdisciplinary coordination will ensure the proper level of training in this discipline of future specialists of fine arts. All this will further allow students to depict a person in different movements and angles, to master professional terminology, to develop three-dimensional thinking, anatomical «vision» of students to achieve the highest possible results in learning.
