THE PICTURESQUE WORLD OF VLODYMYR RADKO'S STILL LIFES: FROM ACADEMY TO AVANTGARDE

The article traces the paths of professional growth and the evolution of the creative method of the prominent Ukrainian artist Volodymyr Radko, which actively shaped within the context of socio-cultural transformations of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Volodymyr Andriiovych Radko emerges as an original painter, graphic artist, and illustrator who successfully works at the intersection of classical painting, easel, and book graphics, and is renowned in artistic circles for his virtuoso technique, innovative combination of materials, and profound perception of artistic space. It is substantiated that his oeuvre occupies a significant place in contemporary Ukrainian fine arts, representing its conceptual consistency and relevance to the demands of the time. Special and meticulous attention in the study is paid to the origins of the artist's creativity, which are rooted in a solid and systemic national art education. This very factor became the fundamental basis for the master’s high professionalism and allowed him to operate freely with complex visual categories. The scientific analysis relies on the most iconic, pivotal moments in the author’s personal and creative life, which directly led to the establishment of V. Radko as a philosophically oriented artist with a broad humanitarian worldview. An important component of the publication is a thorough analysis of Volodymyr Radko's painting heritage, carried out, in particular, on the material of his works in the still life genre. The artist's works are traditionally distinguished by refined, filigree work with plastic form, nuanced light, and color harmony. Through concrete examples of the master's paintings, a wide, expressive world of the artist's remarkable images and metaphors is revealed and demonstrated. The results of the study expand scientific understandings of contemporary art, introducing the reader in detail to the significant painting heritage of V. Radko, which worthily presents Ukrainian fine art both within the country and at the global level, convincingly proving its undeniable relevance to contemporary discourse
